The plan, plainly
ToteTally is intended to use a one-time purchase model, with no recurring ToteTally subscription planned for the core app.
This is the owner’s current product direction, not a public sale offer. There is no live App Store or Google Play listing, so there is no public price or purchase term to quote yet.
The business model should match the product
Subscriptions can make sense when a product continuously runs a hosted service, maintains a shared workspace, or delivers an ongoing catalog. ToteTally is deliberately built around a different shape: a personal inventory stored locally, without a developer-operated account, API, or customer database.
I do not want a monthly payment to be the reason you can still search the list you created on your own device. A one-time model is the cleaner fit for that focused utility.
Keep the useful core together
The current direction is one complete core experience rather than recurring tiers around ordinary inventory tasks:
- Create, edit, and search locations, containers, and items
- Add optional photos and make or scan QR labels
- Work offline without a ToteTally login
- Export, import, and recover a portable backup
- Use optional personal iCloud on your own Apple devices
The backup and restore guide shows why portability is part of the product, not a subscription benefit.
Privacy is architecture, not a pricing slogan
A one-time price does not automatically make software private. ToteTally’s privacy boundary comes from the product itself: no ToteTally account, ads, third-party analytics, tracking, sale of user data, or developer-operated customer backend.
Optional personal Apple iCloud is separate and does not add household invitations or member access. Read the detailed Privacy Policy and the product boundaries behind it.
What “one-time” does not promise
A one-time purchase describes an intended business model. It is not a contract promising that every future version, feature, platform, update, support service, operating system, storefront, or third-party cloud capability will remain available forever.
- No public price has been announced.
- No release date has been promised.
- A purchase on one storefront is not promised to transfer to a different storefront.
- The listing and terms in effect when the app is released will be authoritative.
The published ToteTally Terms of Use describe the current practical software and service boundaries.
Before anyone can buy it
ToteTally is still Coming Soon on iOS and Android. When a public listing exists, that storefront will state the exact price, availability, and purchase terms. Until then, this page explains the owner’s philosophy; it does not offer the app for sale.
Check the ToteTally homepage for the current public availability status.
